Control

Quality is “controlled” throughout the process.
As soon as the tooling is produced, the dimensions of the parts that will be induced by the tools are systematically checked before the tooling is released. Then, systematic checks are carried out at each manufacturing stage: Stamping, rolling, tapping, heat treatment, surface treatment

Diameters, lengths, heights, concentricities, cylindricities, hardness … Our various control tools coupled with powerful computer software allow us to reach ever higher standards.

  • Electronic monitoring of the striking and rolling processes by sensors analyzing each deformation station (any deviation will stop the machine, and eliminate the possibility of manufacturing a bad part).
  • Supervision of heat treatment lines and surface treatment lines (computer monitoring of all influencing parameters, video recording)
  • Serial start validation by automatic control machine (profile projection)

Traceability

Using a robust and efficient computer system, AFF Groupe ensures full traceability of manufactured parts.
The traceability process integrates data from the material certificate to the delivery note.

Sorting

The pieces are sorted before packaging.

AFF Groupe has several optical sorting lines (camera measurement systems for the dimensional and visual (diameter, length, head shape, presence of threads, etc.)), which allow 100% sorting of all our productions.

Most of the lines are also equipped with the latest generation (multi-channel) Eddy Current control system for heat treatment compliance or the presence of cracks.

Our approach is centered on the involvement of our employees focused on serving our customers.

Continuous improvement focuses on problem solving at the workstation to improve standards that allow production to constantly improve performance in terms of safety, quality, lead time and productivity.

We promote collective work with our management rituals (synchronized agendas for production, project and problem solving meetings).

The expertise of our teams’ Lean tools (5S, SMED, VSM, TPM, QRQC, 5WHY, OHP, TRS, etc.) are pooled through exchanges between sites when carrying out improvement projects that allow sharing of good practices.

Certifications

All of our sites are IATF 16949 – ISO 9001 – ECOVADIS certified (CSR Assessment).
Our heat treatment lines are subject to annual CQI-9 self-certification.

The management of our supply chain is subject to continuous improvement, validated by regular events under the MMOG/LE standard
